The restoration of Old Hay Bay Church near Adolphustown is well underway. The old cedar siding, applied in the 1970s, was splitting and deteriorating. New cedar siding will be cover the whole church and the work includes new window frames all around.

Next phases of the OHBC renewal project include restoration of the custodians' cottage and remedial work on the grounds and in the cemetery.

The total cost is estimated at $300,000; to date the amount raised is about $205,000. See www.oldhaybaychurch.ca for details. The church, built in 1792, is the oldest Methodist structure in Canada.
