The Chisholm family dynasty has been turning out quality wood products at Chisholm's Mills for six generations, ever since William Chisholm bought a mill on the Moira River near Roslin in 1857. On Friday the Hastings County Historical Society unveiled a plaque at the site marking the family's long history in the area. About 125 people were delighted with the presentation in the Chisholm mill building. The plaque is one of seven being unveiled this summer to commemorate events or places in Hastings County. The next is in Bancroft at 2 p.m. July 14 at the site of The Bancroft Hotel.

In these pictures, we first see the plaque unveiled at Chisholm's Mills and in the second HCHS President Richard Hughes is shown with Doug Chisholm and Shirley Chisholm Sutherland, who presented the family story, along with Reeve Rick Phillips (Past Warden), Township of Tyendinaga.
